Jordan and I have developed a usability test, to test what pointing device works best with the EdgeTable.
We are testing,
Mouse
TuioPad app for mobile devices
Touch Screen Monitor
Our initial results are that the TuioPad is counter-intuitive and very difficult to use.
The mouse still seems to be the best input/pointing device.

I admit, I was extremely busy this past week and was unable to meet with any of the group(s). I got emails from people last night while I was at work from 5pm - 5am, I actually read the emails this morning.
My progress this week was to get the EdgeTable working on the Boot Camp version on my MacBook pro. I did make significant progress until I ran into a roadblock installing Open CV.

I sent an email (thrice) to everyone in the class. No response from anyone. I'm not sure where the problem is. I have met and spoke to a few people including Jon. I do need to meet with the rest of the 'humanoids' and 'geeks'. Whether it be txt, phone, skype, or anything.
Get back to me! esp..Asha and Andrew

I've met with a few of you this week and contacted ALL. Thank you to all who gave me solid updates and to those who contacted me otherwise. I expect that the rest of you have something to share with me and get me on the same page.
Lets keep moving forward!!

Jordan and I just finished going over all the voice notes from today's class(The video would have been helpful). We edited the Google Doc that was implemented in class. We are working on the beginnings of a 'solid' plan for the next week. Keep in mind that this is still a work-in-progress. Any more information from the 'Humanoids' or 'Geekazors' is welcome and appreciated!

I just installed Boot Camp and Windows 7 on my MAC Laptop. I have gone through the process of updating and now seem to have 2 operating systems in one.
My intention is to eventually be able to run Visual Studio on my MAC utilizing the InteracTable source and solution!
Also install/run other PC based programs. If anyone has experience with this please let me know.

Jordan and I attempted to compile the source code and we both received the same error.
Unable to open project file.
"C:\!TFS\InteracTable
- Demo Branch\KinectMultiTouch\KinectMultiTouch\KinectMultiTouch.csproj
: error : The project file 'C:\!TFS\InteracTable - Demo
Branch\KinectMultiTouch\KinectMultiTouch\KinectMultiTouch.csproj' cannot
be opened.
The project type is not supported by this installation."
It's
possible that, during the installation, that the Visual C#
2008 distributable that we could either "remove" or "repair" (we
selected repair) is causing this issue.
It's also possible that Forest and Lauren's installation "just works" and the documentation is flawed.

It seems as I have taken on the leadership role, or as Jon Schull calls it 'Cat Wrangler'. I will be checking in with everyone periodically to make sure they are on track, have any questions or whatnot.
I will be contacting Wes from Canvas Drawings with Web Sockets and learning about that:

Any questions contact me.

Jordan and I were able to figure out the Networking issues. It was a Windows Firewall issue.
We connected to both our machines and were able to collaborate.
We then put together a presentation in Google Docs.
After all was said and done we used Team Viewer and Jordan gave me a brief introduction to Visual Studio.

The install of Visual Basic completed sometime during the night. I was not able to launch it before I left the house this morning. I will be connecting with Jordan tonight to continue working with Visual Basic.

- Get source code from Forrest
- Work with Jordan to ...
- Get it to compile (Visual Studio, XNA)

- Try to document and create "test harness" for NP
- Be prepared to interrogate Forrest and Lorin Wed afternoon (when the above steps have failed)

I spent this past weekend and the beginning of this week in PA, helping victims of the recent floods. It was an 'eye-opener'. The devastation incredible and nothing compared to New Orleans. I spent most of the time helping relatives and family friends cleaning up their homes and in some cases storage units. I even found my Aunts 15000$ wedding ring she had lost more than two and a half years ago. It was glimmering at me from under a bit of water and mud. The rest of my time was spent putting together food baskets and collecting clothes for the people who lost their homes.
